THERMIva™, invented by Dr. Red Alinsod, is an FDA approved in-office, non-surgical device used for dermatologic conditions such as loose and saggy skin, dry skin, and insensitive skin. A radio frequency generator, made by Thermi Aesthetics powers an “S” shaped hand piece that treats both external and internal vulvovaginal tissue via a thermistor tip which is able to control the amount of heat delivered.

Feminine Restoration

The tip is smaller than most fingers and has a gentle curve that provides excellent comfort. THERMIva™ provides a non-surgical option for treating vaginal looseness and labial tissue laxity. This procedure consists of using radio-frequency heat to tighten the vaginal canal and/or the labia majora.

ThermiVa Handpiece

Hand Piece Size: The width of the hand piece is about 0.5”. The specially designed hand piece has a thoughtful design with comfort in mind.

Active Tip: The small metal square on the bottom of the electrode is the active tip – this is the area that will gently heat the tissue via emission of radiofrequency energy.

About Dr. Red Alinsod

Dr. Red Alinsod is a urogynecologist and aesthetic vulvovaginal surgeon specializing in leaky bladders, fallen bladders, overactive bladders, fallen rectums, vaginoplasty, labiaplasty. He has taught aesthetic vulvovaginal surgery for over a decade and has lectured extensively all over the world on these subjects.

Many of the surgical procedures done routinely such as radio frequency “Barbie Look Labiaplasty” and Labia Majoraplaty were developed at his Laguna Beach office. He is the co-editor of the seminal textbook on the subject “Female Cosmetic Genital Surgery.” and has trained hundreds of doctors worldwide including Thermi’s “Key Opinion Leaders” on how to identify appropriate patients, evaluate patient needs, and perform THERMIva™safely and effectively.
